 Blackberry adalah smart phone yang tidak diragukan kehandalanya. Gadget besutan Reaserach in Motion ( RIM ) ini memang mewabah di seluruh belahan dunia halah , setidaknya ada dua fitur yang membuat gadget ini terasa begitu ekslusif , yaitu Blackberry Messenger dan Push mail. Untuk Bbm sendiri memang memiliki keunikan tersendiri. Fitur ini hanya bisa berjalan di Gadget BlackBerry , kita tidak dapat menggunakan fitur ini di Smartphone atau mobile phone dari vendor lain.

Ya..meski sekarang popularitas BlackBerry mulai menurun, tergerus inovasi-inovasi dari vendor lain seperti Samsung dan google dengan androidnya dan Apple dengan iPad dan iPhone nya , BlackBerry tetap memiliki tempat tersendiri. Terutama bagi saya Blackberry sudah menjadi kebutuhan. Ini tidak berlebihan, mengingat fitur yang diberikan memang memenuhi kebutuhan utama saya, Komunikasi dengan para client juga lebih banyak saya lakukan dengan fitur BBM. Pushmail fitur, membuat kita begitu mobile dan tetap mampu beraktifitas mengirim dan menerima email secara realtime tanpa harus repot membuka laptop lagi.

Lebih dari itu, untuk kepentingan bisnis memang sangat membantu. Hampir semua client corporate yang saya tangani memerlukan contact BBM saya, ini termasuk bagaimana kita memberi kemudahan bagi client untuk dapat terus berhubungan dengan kita dan yang tidak kalah penting, meskipun BlackBerry bukan barang mahal lagi namun sedikit-banyak BlackBerry mampu mewakili dan memberikan kesan elegan.

Saya sendiri , lebih banyak menggunakan BlackBerry untuk kepentingan bisnis , lifestyle hanya bonus yang diberikan karena menggunakan BlackBerry. Saya tetap merekomendasikan bagi rekan-rekan yang berkecimpung di dunia bisnis , terutama bisnis IT untuk memiliki minimal 1 unit BlackBerry :D . Bagi saya itu penting , meski secara batiniah saya justru lebih menyukai Android , tapi kebutuhan lebih penting dari sekedar suka hehehe

Beberapa waktu lalu sebenarnya saya sudah menulis mini tutorial tentang How to Linked Facebook and ubersocial namun dalam bahasa inggris,dan saya juga tidak yakin dengan bahasa inggris saya benar atau tidak hehehehe. Kali ini saya akan menulis ulang cara untuk update status facebook dari ubersocial.

Caranya cukup sederhana, Pertama tentu kita harus sudah memiliki Ubersocial versi terbaru yaitu versi 1.201 yang bisa di download pada link berikut :

Langkah Selanjutnya buka aplikasi Ubersocial dan login menggunakan ID Twitter anda, Klik kana pada menu dan pilih new tweet,atau tekan tombol "U" pada keypad Blackberry yang merupakan shortcut untuk membuat tweet baru . Kemudian Klik pada menu Facebook tab disebelah kanan atas yang akan membawa kita pada halaman login facebook kita. Loginlah menggunakan user dan password Facebook anda dan berikan permission. Selamat sekarang anda dapat mengupdate status facebook melalui twitter atau lebih tepatnya aplikasi twit client ubersocial for blackberry.

Aplikasi populer diranah instan mesenging tentunya juga tersedia pada Blackberry . Pembaharuan atau update pada aplikasi tersebut sangatlah penting untuk dilakukan untuk menunjang performa aplikasi.

Saat ini RIM sudah merelease Updater terbaru untuk aplikasi Instan Messenging , yaitu Yahoo Messenger, Google Talk dan Windows Live Messenger v2.5.84

Saya sendiri sudah melakukan upgrade untuk kesemua aplikasi tersebut,bagi yang ingin melakukan upgrade dapat langsung melakukan proses upgrade melalui Blackberry App World.

Buka aplikasi AppWorld pada Blackberry anda,dan sort atau arahkan pada aplikasi-aplikasi di atas. Dan klik pada aplikasi yang akan di upgrade,setelah itu akan muncul pilihan untuk run aplikasi atau pilihan upgrade pada aplikasi,silahkan klik upgrade.

Saya asumsikan kita menggunakan hidemyass.com ,Masukan url https://www.blackberry.com/beta pada search address yang tersedia pada layanan hidemyass.com , setelah memasukan Url blackberry betazone tadi sebenarnya tidak merubah apapun pada web blackberry betazone yang sebenarnya,hanya saja alamat Ip kita akan terdeteksi sebagai alamat Ip pneyedia layanan proxy,dalam hal ini Ip dari Hidemyass.com. Setelah langkah memasukan url selesai,selanjutnya anda cukup mengisi form dan mengikuti langkah demi langkah pendaftaran pada BlackBerry betazone dengan mengisi data sesuai dengan instruksi dari blackberry betazone dan jangan lupa untuk memilih negara yang telah di support,seperti amerika ataupun malaysia. Jika semua proses tersebut telah selesai anda lakukan, cek lah email anda yang anda gunakan sewaktu mendaftar di blackberry betazone untuk proses validasi dan aktivasi. Jika sudah dilakukan,akan ada pemberitahuan dari blackberry betazone bahwa account anda telah validate dan dapat langsung digunakan.

1. The Inner Circle - Users have asked us how best to manage their busy timelines and we believe this feature will greatly assist in this. You can set separate notifications on tweets/replies/DMs from anyone in the Inner Circle as well as separate icon notifications.
2. DealBox - This new feature will allow you to get offers on the best deals near you and customized for you. For users that have subscriptions, we have turned this feature off by default, but you can turn it on if you choose in the options screen.
3. Support for Twitter's new authentication mechanism for third-party clients - When you first install UberSocial you will be asked to go through the login process again, this is required in order to maintain compliance with Twitter's access mechanism.
4. Support for photos sent with Twitter's new photo service
5. Enhanced image viewing - For users on BlackBerry OS 5 and 6 you will now use the built-in image viewer to zoom and pan avatars and images. You can also now email these images from both places.
6. Unfollowing UberSocial from within the UberSocial application will now turn off auto-following of UberSocial if it was still on
7. A long click on a tweet on BlackBerry OS 6 devices will now bring up the menu

3. Dealbox icon can't be clicked when uberchannels screen is open
4. Set it so that even if you have logged into twitter before, the twitter web page will always ask for username and password
5. Fixed bug where Inner Circle icon on the UberBar might not be there the second time you run the app
6. No longer will log user out of facebook on intermittent network issues

If you prefer, you can also download a zip file containing all of the builds, along with the ALX file. You can download this to your PC/Mac and install the appropriate build to your device using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager. You do this by downloading UberSocial.zip, unzipping it, then use the BlackBerry Desktop Manager to add the correct build to your device. When you unzip it, there will be a directory structure created with different builds for each version of the BlackBerry Operating System. The builds are in subdirectories with the directory name being the version of the build, for example 4_3 has the build for OS version 4.3, 5_0 has the build for OS version 5.0 devices.
