How to block facebook using mikrotik

In this article I want to share the simple tricks how to block Facebook using Mikrotik in five steps. We will use filter rules feature included in Mikrotik. This article not just for blocking facebook,we can used this simple tricks to another web or contenct to make it blocked

Here are the five steps:

1. login to winbox with your username and password
2. go to ip>firewall>filter rules
3.create a new rule at filter rule tabs, by clicking the red + button at the GENERAL tabs, enter the following parameter below.

4. step four, at the advance tabs input facebook at the content menu like the pic below

5. the last setep, go to the action tabs and choose drop action and click Ok

Now,try to open the http://facebook.com , i guarantee the facebook address can not be accessed :D

However,this tricks is not working if the url using the https port.

This is the complete parameter using comand line,just enter the parameter below to the terminal on your mikrotik Router OS
